Serving Spruce Pine Since 2021

A Stronger Neighborhood
Begins At The Hive

The Hive is a drop-in afterschool program that nurtures connection, creativity, and belonging through hands-on programs like art, games, and field trips. Built on a foundation of trust and relationships, its core mission is to provide a safe, fun, and supportive space for youth to be themselves, build skills, and express themselves.

A Trusted Partnership

Built alongside the Spruce Pine Housing Authority

The Hive operates in direct collaboration with the Spruce Pine Housing Authority, embedded within the housing complex itself. Our office, our volunteers, and our programs live where the residents live — and that proximity is the foundation of everything we do.

We are a community-driven program dedicated to serving the residents of the Spruce Pine Housing Authority. Our work is guided by the residents we serve. Using direct feedback, online surveys and email suggestions, we constantly revise and develop programs to provide the services our residents need and want the most.
